The Department of Chemistry came into existence in the year 1966 when the B.Sc.-Program of study was introduced in the college. The department has two full-time faculty and a couple of laboratory attendants to look after the lab and the department. Various undergraduate courses (Theory & Practical) in the subject of chemistry, as per the university-prescribed syllabus, are taught in the department. Besides usual UG- courses, add-on courses are also taught in the department.
