Department of Mathematics


The Mathematics department started in 1966 when the B. Sc.-Program of study was introduced in the College. This is the smallest department of science-faculty of the College. Undergraduate courses in mathematics such as advanced integral and differential calculus, differential equations, real analysis, algebra, vector calculus, linear algebra, complex analysis, statistics, and ancient Indian mathematics, are taught to the students. These topics & courses are drawn from the syllabus prescribed by the university. Various concepts of mathematics are thoroughly stressed so that the students appreciate the beauty and power of mathematics in daily life and its’ various applications in real life. Besides usual UG- courses, add-on courses are also taught in the department.
